Lease Sales of Fit Ev Are Started by Honda Motor

Honda Motor has started lease sales of the Fit EV to local governments and businesses in Japan.

The company is planning to lease about 200 units of the Fit EV in the next two years.

The Fit EV features functions to charge the battery or obtain information through the information and communication system.

The company said in the new electric vehicle, it will apply electromotive powertrain technologies used for the latest hybrid and fuel cell electric vehicles.

The AC energy consumption rate of the Fit EV is 106 Wh/km while EV range per charge is 225 km.

The new vehicle features a regenerative braking system which functions as a generator during braking and converts braking torque into electricity that is stored back into the battery.

Honda adopted the SCiB lithium-ion battery from the Fit EV to receive regenerative energy.
