The set – made by Mattel and originally priced at $119 – has now sold out apart from on the online auction site, where its asking price has reached nearly seven times its RRP.

According to reports, there are still plenty of Frozen themed toys available to Christmas shoppers this year, however industry analysts predict that these won’t be around for much longer.

The latest Frozen developments follows reports that family toy chain, The Entertainer has restricted parents to one Frozen doll per person, in order to save Christmas shoppers form the ‘extortionate prices’ of online eBayers.

Elsewhere, online voucher site, PromotionalCodes.org.uk has seen a 300 per cent increase in searches related to Frozen products, with demand expected to continue “right up to Christmas Eve.”

Online shopping analysts, Terapeak has noticed an increase of 50 per cent for Disney toy sales via eBay compared to last year, beating the second most popular eBay children’s products – Developmental Baby Toys – by 32 per cent.
