Petaluma, Calif. – Core Brands hired more new executives.
The newcomers are Yann Connan, hired as director of product management for the audio group; Brett Faulk, who joins the company as executive director of strategic products; and Randall Logan, who becomes director of channel marketing.
Faulk and Logan are filling newly created positions.
The appointments follow the hiring late last year of Steve Jain, formerly with DEI, as retail sales director to build the company’s presence in the consumer retail channel for the Korus brand of wireless-multiroom audio products.
A few months before that, the company hired Joe Roberts as VP of products and marketing. Roberts announced the latest appointments.
Meantime, Mark Weisenberg also left Core Brands, where he most recently was senior product manager for subwoofers, a spokesperson said.
Connan, who replaces Mitch Witten, comes to Core Brands from Simple TV, a consumer electronics start-up that makes a network home media server. He previously held executive roles at PeoplePC, Roxio and Corel, where he managed global businesses.
Faulk will lead the development on next-generation Korus wireless multiroom speakers. His 23-year career includes creating and delivering new products for such companies as Dell and HP. Before joining Core Brands, he consulted with the company in a role that led to the development of the first generation of Korus speakers.
Logan will be responsible for developing and implementing strategies and initiatives to support Core Brands’ sales channels, which consist primarily of custom installers, custom distributors, and retail channels. Before taking on his new role, he developed and led field marketing to introduce the Korus wireless speaker system. His 20-year career includes sales and channel marketing roles at such companies as Broderbund, The Learning Company, Roxio and Sonic Solutions.
