Shengfang is located in the triangle centre formed by the city of Beijing,Tianjin and Baoding, enjoying an important position in the area around the Bohai Sea. 35KM to the east of Tianjin and 120KM to the north of Beijing. The 112 national road runs across Shengfang.Tianjin-Baoding express highway has Shengfang entrance. Shengfang occupies an area of 104.7 KM2 , among which 18.6 km2 has been developed. Shengfang has a fixed population of 87,000, and about 50,000 floating people. In 2004, Shengfang's GDP created a record high of 12.18 billon Yuan, and the annual avenue income reached 153 million Yuan, farmer's pure income reached 4633 Yuan. In 2005, our GDP reached 12 billion Yuan in the past 9 months, raised by 40.01%,and the avenue reaches 243 million Yuan, raised by 103.2%. We anticipate we will set a record high of 300 million Yuan.
Situated at the center of Bejing, Tianjin and Baoding, Shengfang has been named " an amazing world", which is attributed to its metal-glass furniture. At present, there are over 5400 enterprises, within which 1300 enterprises are dealing with metal-glass furniture. In 2005,Shengfang was named "the Manufacturing Base of Metal-glass Furniture of China" by China Light Industry Federation and China Furniture Association.
Shengfang International Furniture Centre occupies an area of 650 mu (3900 acres) with investment of 850 million yuan and structure area of 500 thousand square meters. It is 35km east to Tianjin, 60km north to Langfang, 120km from Beijing, and 130km west to Baoding. No.112 National highway and Langda province highway pass by the area. Besides, there is an entrance at Shengfang for Jinbao Expressway, and it only takes 15 minutes for a vehicle travelling to Beijing-Shanghai Expressway. Shengfang is only 28km away from Bazhou railway station and Beijing-Jiulong Railway, and 5km away from Lilancheng freight yard of Jinba Railway connection route. Beijing International Airport & Tianjin Binhai International Airport, Tanggu Newly Harbor of Tianjin which has the biggest container and bulk cargo docks in northern China, are only 2 hours of vehicle travelling time from here.
