According to indexes issued by the European Steel Association (EUROFER), local scrap prices in the European Union (EU) in March recorded a slight increase of around one percent as compared to February.
On year-on-year basis, in March this year EU scrap prices declined by around 10 percent, constituting the biggest year-on-year fall seen since October last year when the purchase prices paid by local steel mills across the EU collapsed.
