JSW Steel, one of the largest Indian steelmakers, produced 1.11 million mt of crude steel in May this year, registering a growth of 12 percent compared to the same month of the previous year.
According to the company's statement, in July JSW Steel produced 895,000 mt of flat rolled products, up 12 percent, while its long rolled product output amounted to 173,000 mt, falling seven percent, both compared to July 2013.
