Trm Announces The Installation of New Casemaker to Enhance Its Packaging Capacity

Corrugated group in the UK, TRM has announced the installation of a new £2.5m casemaker at its Burscough, Lancashire facility to enhance its retail-ready packaging capacity.

The installation of the new Martin 618 casemaker, part the company's long-term £17m investment programme has come on stream since the start of 2012 and makes the site to run three of the machines, packagingnews.co.uk reported.

TRM chief executive Trevor Maund told PackagingNews that the company invested in its first Martin 618 in 2007 and it now owns three machines, which helps to assure the demands of its increasing retail ready packaging customers.

"The investment in our BHS 2.8-metre corrugator and three Martin machines have helped us to increase our capacity by 20% per annum in the last two years," Maund said.

All three Martin 618 machines have four color print capability and two die-cut units, which give enable designers to make good designs for customers and supermarkets.

TRM, which works with packers in the food and processing industry and retailers, hopes to increase the company's turnover to £50m, in the next five years.
