Jaypee Cement s Rs 2, 500-Crore Cement Plant Will Commence Production Next Month

Jaypee Cement s Rs 2, 500-crore cement plant near Jaggayyapeta in Krishna District, Andhra Pradesh, will commence production next month. The plant, with a cement production capacity of five million tonnes a year, will cater mainly to southern markets, Mr Narayan Rao, Senior General Manager C Jaypee Group told newspersons after formally launching the brand in the State here on Thursday. The Noida-based business conglomerate also is planning to invest Rs 300 crore to Rs 400 crore in ramping up capacity of Andhra Cement s plant in Krishna district. Over the next six months, the work to increase its capacity from existing two million tonnes to three million tonnes will commence, Mr Rao said.
