More than 36 seminars on topics related to garment and textile industries will be hosted at the upcoming 21st edition of Chinese international trade fair Intertextile Shanghai Apparel Fabrics, due to be held from March 18 to 20, 2015 at National Exhibition and Convention Center (Shanghai).
With a special focus on the rising popularity of Korean fashion trends, the seminars will cover four key areas, including design and trends, technology, sustainability issues, and market information and business strategies.
The design and trends category conference will provide an overview of the Spring/Summer 2016 trends highlighting key elements of the design process such as colours, materials, prints and patterns. The speakers’ line-up includes representatives from global organizations like Doneger Creative Services (creative director Kai Chow), NellyRodi Agency (Juliette Duveau), WGSN (Jane Boddy, head of womenswear and colour), PeclersParis (Massimo Carminati) and Pantone (Maryann Wong).
The event’s major highlight ‘Korean Wave in Fashion’ will host two seminars. Conducted by the director of fashion business at Korea Research Institute for Fashion Industry (KRIFI), Ju Tae-Jin, the conference titled Fashion Market Analysis and Consumer Research of Korean Wave Fashion will explain the growing popularity of Korean textiles in global market.
The ‘Latest Korean Fashion Trends’ seminar, conducted by Zoe Lee (vice-general manager of C and T Union and Korea Fashion Textile Association member, will provide runway analysis of international fashion brands, Korean fabric trends and SS16 style forecast.
Also Intertextile Directions Trend Forum and Fabrics China Trend Forum focusing on menswear, womenswear and colours will be organized on the sidelines of the informative seminars.
Intertextile Shanghai Apparel Fabrics will be co-organised by Messe Frankfurt (HK) Ltd, Sub-Council of Textile Industry, CCPIT, and the China Textile Information Centre.
