Almost 2,000 boxes sold at Christmas, above the 1,000 target; new versions revealed.
New quiz card game Linkee enjoyed strong sales at Christmas, with twice as many units sold than expected.
In the three months up to Christmas the company sold almost 2,000 boxes – 1,000 more than it hoped.
After Linkee exhibited at London Toy Fair in January, the firm said in a statement: "Loads of retail folk have seemingly fallen for Linkee’s charms, including some big High Street names.
"We'll have more on this and some exciting news for you next month."
The company is also working on an app, and has revealed two new versions of its game: Dinkee Linkee and Pocket Linkee.
Dinkee Linkee will be for kids aged seven to 12, and Pocket Linkee, which is a mini pack with 121 new Linkees, is perfect for trains, holidays, car journeys or as a booster pack," read a statement.
"We are already working with a few schools to help write Dinkee Linkee but we need more help. If you are a teacher, know a teacher or have kids around the right age and would like to get involved, please get in touch. We’ll send you a taster pack to play and hopefully twist your arm into writing a few cards for us."
