According to data released by the Korea Iron & Steel Association (Kosa), the country’s heavy plate production totaled 744,800 tons in October, up by 3% from a month ago and increasing by 2% year on year.
In the January-October period, the country’s heavy plate output totaled 7.33 million tons, decreasing by 14% year on year.
In the given period of time, the country’s sales volumes of heavy plates totaled 5.1 million tons, slumping by 21% year on year.
