China-based PV module makers have drastically decreased orders released to solar cell makers in Taiwan due to uncertainty about US preliminary anti-dumping tariffs, and are likely to resume normal orders after the US makes its decision on July 24, but are expected to ask for additional incentives, such as favorable payment terms, according to industry sources.
In addition, China-based PV module makers are expected to ask for further decreases in quotes, the sources said. Taiwan-based solar cell makers' quotes stand at about US$0.35/W currently, the sources indicated.
