The KHS Group, a manufacturer of filling and packaging systems for the beverage, food and non-food industries, will launch a compact labeler, Innoket Roland 40, at Drinktec 2017 trade show to be held in Munich, Germany, from September 11 to 15.
The Innoket Roland 40, a compact version of KHS Innoket Neo, has a capacity of labeling 2,500 to 25,000 bottles per hour and is specifically meant for the craft breweries and spirits bottlers. It can be fitted with various labeling stations, and is easy to use, the company stated in a release.
Based on the design of KHS Innoket Neo, the standard version of Innoket Roland 40 offers two cold glue stations, which allows shoulder and neck labels to be applied at two levels by the first station.
Alternatively, self-adhesive stations, a combination of cold glue and self-adhesive technology and hot melt labeling processes, can be used, the company said.
The compact machine includes quality-determining components that are present in the high-performance KHS Innoket Neo labeling machine. Along with other features, the servo feed screw on the Innoket Neo has also been included in the Innoket Roland 40, which facilitates gentle bottle stops.
The new labeling machine also provides opportunities for extension, allowing individual labeling tasks to be accomplished. Sensors can check for the presence of labels at certain points, and for other factors such as broken bottles.
The company claims that attention was paid to simple operation and a high degree of economy while developing Innoket Roland 40. The table machine is also suitable for manufacturers of canned food, pet food or shampoo in the food and non-food industries, it said.
KHS labeling product manager Cornelius Adolf said: “The new machine is specially geared towards lines with a smaller output.”
