TECHNOTEX 2013 will see Taiwan's leading technical textiles manufacturers showcasing their high performance and quality textile products for the first time in India. The Bureau of Foreign Trade (BOFT) & Taiwan Textile Federation (TTF) is forming a pavilion at Technotex-2013 India’s premier show on technical textiles.
The theme for the Taiwan Pavilion is Innovation, Exchange & Co-operation. Exhibitors from Taiwan are looking to forge strong partnerships with their Indian companies in technical textiles. These highly specialized technical textiles are used in a broad spectrum of industries ranging from the auto and alternate energy sector to the medical and aviation industry, offering better performance and performing complex functions in the form of smart fibres and applications of nanotechnology.
Mr. Justin Huang, Secretary General, Taiwan Textile Federation (TTF) has been invited by FICCI & Ministry of Textiles to speak at the concurrent International Conference on Technical Textiles on January 17, 2013 from 2pm to 3:30 pm at Hall 7, Pragati Maidan, New Delhi. Speaking about Taiwan’s functional textiles market, Mr. Huang said, “In the last 10 years, Taiwan textile industry has invested a lot of resources in textile technology innovation.
Today, many textile mills produce fabrics which are Anti-bacteria, Water Repellent, Moisture Transferring, etc. This is why almost all the big names and international brands of sportswear and outer wear usually source from our Taiwanese suppliers.”
Taiwan Textile Federation (TTF) meets the needs of the textile industry through market promotion, product design, fashion information analysis, online information, technology training, collection and analysis of market information, certification of functional textiles, publications of textile information, issuance of Certificate of Origin, and other services.
Taiwan Textile Federation (TTF) also hosts the Taipei In Style (TIS) and the Taipei Innovative Textile Application Show (TITAS) every year to facilitate market expansion for domestic and international companies. In India, Taiwan Textile Federation (TTF) has been successfully organising buyer-seller meets showcasing apparel fabrics and related accessories over the last 10 years in major textile hubs such as Mumbai, New Delhi, Bengaluru, Tirupur, Gurgaon and Surat to name a few.
Ms. Jennifer Liu, Project Manager of Taiwan Textile Federation (TTF) said, “The Federation as well as Taiwanese manufacturers of technical and functional textiles is keen to penetrate the Indian market by forging partnerships and tie-ups with Indian textile buyers, traders, exporters, garment manufacturers and retailers.”
