a New Food Park Has Been Opened in India with an Investment of Inr1.5bn($26.78m)

A new food park has been opened in Chittoor,Andhra Pradesh,India,with an investment of INR1.5bn($26.78m).

Srini Food Park,which is one of India's largest integrated food parks,has been built under the union food processing ministry scheme.It features central processing centre and primary processing centres.

It offers pulping,IQF,bottling,tetra packing,modular cold storage,warehousing,and testing capabilities.The park is backed by individual farmers,field collection centers,and self help groups.

The new park is expected to create more 2,000 local jobs and address the requirements of horticulturists in Chittoor,as well as the neighbouring areas.

It is supported by the Ministry of Food Processing Industries and the Andhra Pradesh Infrastructure Investment Corporation,and is promoted by professionals.
