US-based PPI Technologies, the global provider of stand up pouch and tray sealing machinery has announced the new alternative packaging for liquid beverages.
It involves pouch packaging, which is said to be one of the most affordable beverage-packaging container available in the market.
Considered environmentally friendly, studies have shown that 300 stand up pouch liquid containers have the same environmental impact as 6 glass bottles, and help reduce the landfill waste, said the company.
According to the company, stand up pouch packaging for liquid beverages can be applied to different kinds of products like juices, energy drinks and even alcoholic beverages. It can also be easily recycled through burn-to-energy plants that transform plastics to an energy source.
The stand up pouches packaging are said to have become an alternative to glass bottles.
The company sells machinery that manufactures pouches with slider and press-to-close zippers from printed laminated roll stock films and also offers prefabricated pouches with spout fitments.
