China's Ministry of Commerce (MOC) has announced that during last week (April 8-14) the average steel price in China increased by 0.1 percent compared to the previous week.
In particular, in the given week prices of 3 mm hot rolled sheet, 6.5 mm diameter high-speed wire rod and 1 mm galvanized sheet increased by 0.2 percent, 0.2 percent and 0.2 percent, all week on week.
In the week ending April 14, average prices of minerals in China increased by one percent compared to the previous week. Furthermore, the average prices of copper ore, zinc ore and iron ore rose by 1.9 percent, 1.5 percent and 0.9 percent, while the price of tin ore decreased by 0.4 percent, all compared to the previous week.
Meanwhile, in the given week, average prices of energy in China were down 0.4 percent week on week. The average price of coke remained unchanged, while the average prices of raw coal and crude oil decreased by 1.6 percent and 0.3 percent respectively, all on week-on-week basis.
