We Should Not Believe Rumours of a 4-Inch iPhone 6 Variant

Rumours of a 4-inch iPhone 6 ‘Mini’ edition have now come into question as supply chain sources cast doubt over the chatter.

Over the past few months we’ve heard from the grapevine that Apple has been setting up to launch a smartphone with a downsized form factor.

Unfortunately for pint-sized blower loyalists, these rumours may be unfounded, as supply chain sources speak out against the allegations.

According to the Wei Feng Network, as spotted by GForGames, supply chain sources have said that ‘we should not believe’ rumours of a 4-inch iPhone 6 variant.

Apparently Apple has not made any new orders to the supply chain for a smaller smartphone unit, stopping whispers of a ‘Mini’ device dead in their tracks.

It’s worth mentioning that the initial rumours of an iPhone 6 ‘Mini’ began with anonymous supply chain sources too, making both claims as reputable as the other.

It would certainly be an odd move for Apple to backtrack and downsize its smartphone range, especially after making such a big deal about large screened devices a la the iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus.

According to the new report, a return to a 4-inch screen would see ‘the same embarrassment like iPhone 5C market reaction.’

The 4-inch device was rumoured to launch at a similar time to the Apple Watch, which is due this March, meaning there’s not a long wait to find out either way.
