Made from value added Trevira fibres, the Gebrüder Mehler weaving mill from Germany is presenting new developments in corporate wear at Munich Fabric Start which begins in September.
“The fabrics meet all the rigorous demands of work and corporate wear, are hardwearing, easy care, low-pill, bioactive and possess a positive climate effect,” a Trevira press release said.
The fibres in the fabrics makes possible a more rapid dispersal and removal of moisture from the lower side of the material than is the case with other materials, for example natural fibres and also filaments with circular profile.
“The fabrics are more breathable and provide a good body climate as the bioactive effect anchored in the fibres makes the wearer feel clean and fresh,” the German fibre producer added.
In addition, the textiles are pleasantly light, with the elastane element used in the yarns supplying greater comfort to the wearer.
The new fibres have been launched under the Trevira Perform Moisture Control brand and are available in various fabric constructions, weights and colours and are suited for all outer wear articles.
“Nowadays corporate wear should not only look good, but have to be comfortable and functional as well,” says managing director Paulus Mehler.
“With our new development we are able to cover a large part of the most vital properties and have in addition a wide range of possible end uses as well produce the fabric that meet individual needs,” he too added.
“With our in-house dyeworks we are in a position to supply fabrics that match corporate identity, and in small quantities too, starting from 25 metres,” Mehler informed.”
Gebrüder Mehler is a fully integrated manufacturer of uniform fabrics, loden, eco and decorative textiles.
The company was founded in 1644 and is the oldest fabric manufacturer in Germany and operates from two facilities, a weaving mill with finishing and dyehouse facilities and a wool spinning mill.
