TFL, the global leather manufacturing solution provider and dye maker, has unveiled the Spring/Summer 2016 colour trends catalogue for the leather garment, upholstery and accessory industries.
Divided into ‘Wearing’ and ‘Living’, the catalogue not only informs the designers, manufacturers and tanners about the future colour preferences but also offers knowledge on appropriate dyes and dye applications.
The Wearing segment of the catalogue features colour trends for garments, footwear and accessories. Aiming to highlight the basic characteristics of leather, such as value, durability, comfort and luxury, the colour palette varies from brilliant blue, turquoise, orange, red and pink to pastel rose and violet.
Exclusively meant for interior design purposes, the Living section predicts a trend towards softer and more easily workable leathers with ergonomic shapes which can be easily matched with saturated, slightly opalescent pastel shades. The colour options range from various pastel browns and oranges to greys and olives.
In addition to the above mentioned future colour trends, the S/S 16 catalogue also introduces the Sella Star dyes, a compact range of dyes to produce various brown, beige and olive shades featuring good general fastness properties.
TFL specializes in the development, production and marketing of specialty chemicals such as tanning agents and dyestuffs as well as tailor-made solutions for the leather industry. The company operates through a network of nearly 19 subsidiaries on three continents and maintains a presence aided by over 50 agents and distributors in some 90 countries. (PB)
