Over £10,000 was given to Rainbows Hospice in Leicester for new specialist play equipment.
The Toy Trust has donated over £200,000 to help assist every single registered children’s hospice in the UK.
The charity decided to provide specialist play equipment through UK children's hospices in 2016, and will provide play experiences for children with life limiting illnesses.
Kai Hawaleschka, director of DKL Marketing and a member of the charity, recently took a check of over £10,000 for new specialist play equipment at the Rainbows Hospice in Leicester.
Kate Golding, head of organisational giving at Rainbows, said: “This is such an amazing donation and we are so grateful to the Toy Trust for this support.
“We will be making sure that it is directed into helping the children and young people to experience lots of wonderful play activities whilst here at Rainbows.”
In addition, overseas charity East African Playgrounds (EAP), who are based in Uganda, will receive a donation of £60,000 to help build new playgrounds in refugee camps and nursery centres.
