France's digital economy minister Fleur Pellerin has endorsed Labor's $37.4 billion National Broadband Network, describing it as the "best long-term technology" for high speed broadband rollouts.
Ms Pellerin said that although politicians and the electorate of France were having the same debate as Australians on how best to finance and roll out broadband networks, the French government had chosen a similar approach to the fibre network being built by NBN Co.
