In February this year, Brazilian miner Vale's iron ore export volume totaled 20.03 million mt, increasing by 3.29 percent year on year, according to Brazil's National Union of the Industry of Extraction of Iron and Base Metals (Sinferbase). In the first two months of the current year, Vale's iron ore exports increased by 8.75 percent year on year to 42.45 million metric tons.
Meanwhile, in February this year Vale's iron ore sales in its domestic market amounted to 1.12 million mt, decreasing by 9.65 percent year on year. In the first two months of this year, Vale's iron ore sales in its domestic market totaled 2.26 million mt, down 13.54 percent year on year.
