Bosch Packaging Technology is set to unveil new integrated topload cartoner, Kliklok ITC, at this year’s Pack Expo Las Vegas event in the US.
The event will take place from 25 to 27 September.
Bosch developed the new integrated solution with the support of Kliklok-Woodman in the US and Kliklok International in the UK, which are part of the firm since 2015.
The new machine incorporates three packaging processes, including carton forming, product loading, and carton closing.
Developed for flow-wraps, roll-wraps and die-end wrapped products, the integrated solution can be used forbakery and confectionery industries in the US, as well as other applications for multiple flow-wrapped products.
With 12ft x 6.5ft ergonomic design, the new machine features low-level carton hopper, swingarm-mounted HMI 4.0, glue tank and product infeed for easier operation.
The system’s toolless jigs and change part numbering system will enable changeovers in less than 15 minutes, helping to effectively manage forming, loading and closing packaging process.
With a capacity to form load, and close up to 80 cartons per minute, the machine is available with a wide variety of formats and styles.
In addition, the machine can accept up to 550 products per minute in its adjustable collator chain, which helps to move products into position for loading.
Kliklok-Woodman general manager Bruno Oberle said: “Keeping in mind that the midrange market in U.S. for cartoning is growing, but that the production facilities are often smaller and the space is a premium, we developed a solution for food producers who want simple, streamlined and easy to operate packaging systems that don’t occupy a lot of floor space.”
