Indian automobile manufacturer Tata Motors launched its new Super ACE 1-tonne diesel mini-truck, in South Africa.
According to the company, the new mini-truck is suitable for operating in intra-city and last-mile distribution applications.
Tata Super ACE is powered by a 4-cylinder, turbocharged and intercooled (475 IDI) diesel engine that is mated to a 5-speed fully synchromesh gearbox and generate an output of 70hp and 135Nm torque.
In addition, the new 1-tonne diesel mini-truck includes a gradeability of 39% that enables the vehicle to climb steep slopes and it is expected to deliver a fuel efficiency of 14kmpl.
The new Tata Super ACE will be available in two models, including the lower-end model and top model.
The Indian automaker's South African portfolio includes 20 commercial vehicle models and three passenger car models.
