Clondalkin Kirchberg, the Swiss subsidiary of the Clondalkin Group, has unveiled tactile printing technology to make products stand out and increase their sale chances.
The company claims to have successfully integrated tactile features like relief and soft touch into its printing technology for lids and shrink sleeves.
Using the new tactile printing technology, brand owners are said to be in a position to create an improved experience for the consumer when they touch the product.
Clondalkin Kirchberg said that it will help brand owners in having their product pass through the critical step in the buying process.
Considered as an integral part of the designs, the tactile elements can be applied either partially or across the entire product surface.
According to Clondalkin Kirchberg, the combination of the tactile printing technology and the print design has the potential to create a completely new window of opportunity for brand owners for point of sale marketing.
The tactile printing innovation will enable brand customers to have their products highlighted on the supermarket shelves, said the company.
It further said that brand owners can influence the customer’s perception and emotional connection by communicating certain characteristics of the product, and eventually leading a positive impact on their buying behavior.
Earlier in the month, Clondalkin announced that its Dutch unit Clondalkin Flexible Packaging Grootegast would be showcasing its complete range of products in the Packaging Innovations 2016 show in Amsterdam.
The product range includes high barrier lidding film, multi-layer laminates with aluminium, microwaveable packaging, printed bags and retort stand up pouches.
In September, Clondalkin Flexible Packaging Group was acquired by Dutch based private equity company Egeria at an undisclosed price.
