INVISTA, one of the world’s largest integrated producers of chemical intermediates, polymers and fibers, is pleased to announce the appointment of two key executives: Julien Born, as Executive Vice President of Apparel’s Eastern Region, and Jack Yang as Apparel’s Eastern Region Chief Technology Officer.
Julien and Jack will complement the existing leadership team in their efforts to continue to lead INVISTA’s rapid growth in the Eastern Region by capitalizing on INVISTA’s experience in advanced textile science and by expanding and leveraging other assets such as global value chain connection, consumer insights and its trusted consumer ingredient brands.
“The focus on quickly translating customer and consumer insights into innovative fibers, fabrics and garments for apparel, using our LYCRA, COOLMAX, THERMOLITE and THERMOCOOL Brands to communicate the benefits and connecting brands with retailers and end user consumers has become a key differentiator for INVISTA”, says Julien. “We’ve already seen success and a main part of my role will be focused on continuing this success and drive positive momentum to create value for INVISTA and our partners.”
Reporting to Julien, Jack Yang will be instrumental in developing and strengthening a world-class technical and R&D capability in support of Apparel’s aggressive growth objectives in North and South Asia. Jack comes to INVISTA following a number of Technology Leadership roles in GE.
“In practice, our mission is to inspire innovation and sustain market differentiation through deeper collaboration at all the different levels of the supply chain – here in China, and around the world”, says Julien.
