Taiwanese steel pipe distributors and users have initiated to replenish their stocks since middle of December while the steel pipe prices are still steady. They expect the market prices released from Chung Hung Steel and China Steel Corporation (CSC) for January and March will keep soaring up and spurring the price of carbon steel plate to hike constantly month-by-month in the first quarter of 2014. Many Taiwanese buyers also point out January will be the great timing to place orders because Chinese mills often surge their market prices after Chinese New Year holiday in the end of January.
