China received insurance premium of CNY 646.67 billion in the first four months, up 9.2% year on year, which is 2.7 percentage points higher than the growth of 6.5% in the first quarter, according to the China Insurance Regulatory Commission (CIRC).
In detail, the premium of property insurance hit CNY 204.36 billion, up 17.1%; that of life insurance reached CNY 389.35 billion, up 3.7%; that of health insurance hit CNY 37.1 billion, up 29.2%; that of accident insurance reached CNY 15.87 billion, up 18.7%.
In terms of companies, foreign-invested life insurance companies received premium of CNY 19.85 billion in the reporting period, up 35.14%; China-invested such companies received CNY 413.16 billion, up 4.3%.
