Commercial vehicle demand dropped 9.4%during October 2012 across EU to 147,211 units compared to the corresponding month in 2011.
During the month demand for commercial vehicle shrank by 3.8%in Germany,8.6%in the UK,9.8%in France,16.4%in Italy and 20.4%in Spain.
During first ten months of this year commercial vehicle registration dropped 10.6%to 1,429,287 units across the region which include 3.6%decrease in the UK,4.1%in Germany,8%in France,25.2%in Spain and 33%in Italy.
Registration of light commercial vehicle weighing up to 3.5t declined 9.7%during October to 118,723 units compared to October 2011.
Light commercial vehicle registration in Germany declined by 3.5%,8.1%in the UK,9.5%in France,16%in Italy and 24%in Spain.
During January to October period light vehicle registration in EU countries dropped 11.5%to 1,159,579 new vans.
Germany saw a registration contraction of 2.9%while UK and France reported a decline of 6.5%and 8.2%respectively,but biggest sale decline was experienced in Spain and Italy where registration of new vehicles contracted 25.7%and 33.4%respectively.
During October 20,294 units of heavy vehicles weighing over 16t(excluding Buses&Coaches)were registered which is 5.6%less than in the same month last year.
In Spain the number of registrations dropped 2.8%,4.1%in Germany,5%in France,9.7%in the UK and 19.6%in Italy.
During first nine months demand for the new trucks declined across EU by 7.4%to 182,646 vehicles with major markets reporting contraction expect in the UK where the demand increased 3.8%.
