The Rolls-Royce Ghost V-Specification, the most powerful version of the Goodwood car maker’s entry-level limousine yet, has been released.
The Rolls-Royce Ghost V-Specification boasts a 22kW power hike, with the output of its BMW-derived 6.6-litre twin-turbo V12 rising to 442kW.
Externally, silver coachlines incorporating the new V-Specification motif are standard, as are unique 21-inch part-polished wheels on the standard wheelbase variant. Visible chrome exhausts are available as an option. Five new paint finishes also debut: Graphite, Black Sapphire, Black Kirsch, Arctic White and Infinity Black.
Inside, further badging reminds buyers theirs is no ordinary Ghost, with V-Specification motifs adorning the car’s tread plates and rear armrest, as well as the infotainment screen’s retracting lid, where it is rendered in stainless steel. Also present is an exclusive clock design with a distinctive black crown, while the car’s leather upholstery comes with contrast piping and stitching as standard.
Packaged with the option is Rolls-Royce’s ‘Individual Seat’ configuration, Rolls-Royce embroidered headrests, piano black trim, and a rear entertainment system.
Although the V-Specification’s V12 is more powerful than the standard Ghost’s – and closes in on the 460kW Bentley Flying Spur – it is also more economical, averaging a claimed 13.6L/100km and emitting 327 grams of CO2 per kilometre, down 0.5L/100km and 2g/km compared with the standard car.
The Rolls Royce Ghost V-Specification is expected to be formally unveiled at a major motor show this year, potentially at Geneva in March.
