Taiwan-based solar-grade polycrystalline silicon ingot and wafer maker Eversol has landed EPC (engineering, procurement, construction) projects for installing ground-mounted PV systems with total capacity of 80MWp in Japan and expects to complete the installation of 1.5MWp in first-quarter 2014, according to the company.
Another Eversol-built 1.5MWp ground-mounted PV system is already operational in Japan, the company indicated.
In addition, E-Solar, a joint venture PV module maker established in 2012 by Eversol and Japan-based PV system installation undertaker West Holdings with a 61% and 39% respective share of the stakes, began production in the third quarter of 2013, Eversol said.
E-Solar utilized 70% of its annual production capacity of 50MWp in fourth-quarter 2013 and shipped 15MWp of PV modules for roof-mounted PV systems in 2013, Eversol indicated.
