MinCIT Imposed a Provisional Anti-Dumping Duty on Imports of Chinese Steel Wire

Colombia's Ministry of Commerce, Industry and Tourism (MinCIT) imposed a provisional anti-dumping duty on imports of Chinese steel wire this week.

According to reports, the tax on products under HS code 7312.10.90.00, origin China, will be 20 percent on the FOB value declared by the importer, and will be valid for four months starting September 19.

The tax is valid for four months from September 19. The investigation period was from April 3, 2013 to April 3, 2014, and the Colombian government said that imports during the investigation period grew 13.56 percent.

The petitioner in the case was Colombian Emcocables S.A.
