Swanline Paper and Board (SPB) has introduced two new folding boxboards – PankaLux and PankaBrite – for the luxury packaging and food packaging markets.
PankaLux and PankaBrite provide brands and packers with quality solutions that tick all the boxes in terms of performance, functionality and eco-credentials.
PankaLux, a smooth white-backed folding boxboard, is said to be suitable for the packaging of luxury goods with its visual properties and performance.
Available from 430 microns through to 1000 microns, PankaLux boxboard is ideal for foil lamination and high quality end-use applications.
PankaBrite is a fully-coated cream-backed folding boxboard and is available from 460 microns through to 1030 microns.
Its rigidity, purity and strong visual characteristics make it an ideal choice for food packers, claims SPB.
Both boards are stocked in sheet and reel format for bespoke conversion on Swanline’s super-fast wide format rotary sheeter.
SPB sales director Chris Bosworth said: “Swanline is able to offer a wide range of boxboards to customers operating in a wide range of sectors. PankaLux and PankaBrite are fantastic additions to our portfolio, bringing a touch of luxury and practicality to their relevant markets.
“The two boxboards have been developed in response to rising demand from the packaging industry for packaging that is cost-effective, lightweight, flexible, functional and custom-designed.”
Earlier in May this year, Swanline purchased the business assets and goodwill of Four Graphics’ Warwick-based division and renamed it as Four Create Print.
The acquired business added three Durst roll and flatbed digital printers, complementing Swanline’s two HP HDR presses.
With Four Create Print, Swanline also looks to expand its capabilities to serve customers in the POS and packaging sectors.
Swanline provides digital print services to support the development of corrugated packaging and display solutions. In addition, the firm offers offset Litho and screen print services with all associated conversion facilities.
