Junior Apparel Collection Was Introduced by Dsquared2

Dsquared² - the fashion brand is proud to announce the launch of its very first junior line (from age 0 to 14) that will debut with the spring-summer 2014 collection. The ready-to-wear and accessories will be produced under license by Brave Kid for the next five years (2014-2018). Part of the OTB Group, Brave Kid is specialized in the manufacture and distribution of children’s clothing and accessories. The footwear license will be entrusted to Andrea Montelpare, a leading firm in the industry from Fermo.

The collection will remain true to the brand’s DNA with a touch of irony and playfulness, typical of the North American kids. The key word for the new junior Boy, junior Girl and Baby collection is FUN, FUN and more FUN while reinterpreting iconic Dsquared² symbols and designs conceived as total looks. The line will be distributed in the Dsquared² flagship stores in Milan, Paris and Tokyo and in the most prestigious department stores and specialty stores. As for the price, it will be coherent with those of high fashion children’s lines.

Dean and Dan Caten proudly exclaim: "It's baby time! As time passes, the Dsquared² family continues to flourish! Our customers have grown with us and we have accompanied many of them to the altar. Now their children are also in need of cool and fun outfits. With this junior line we are finally answering the request of our clients: to create a real “total look” for the entire family! We are happy to be part of Renzo Rosso’s new project of creating a new luxury pole entirely dedicated to children’s wear. We are also confident that the new collaboration with Andrea Montelpare will guarantee high quality footwear for all little ones”.

"It's a joy to work with Dean and Dan as they have a unique lifestyle brand that is fully coherent, consistent and recognizable. I am proud to be a part of their project. This new license is a very important asset for Brave Kid that continues to expand. The arrival of Dsquared², together with the already existing children lines of John Galliano and Diesel, contributes to make Brave Kid an important pillar in the children’s wear industry”, has said Renzo Rosso, the president of OTB, the holding company of Brave Kid.

“We are delighted to announce this new collaboration as we had been talking about for a while now. We are eager to share our expertise and experience when it comes to baby/junior footwear. Soon enough, children will be able to wear high quality, 100% made in Italy, stylish and fun shoes that interpret the spirit of the brand. This license is an important acquisition to our portfolio that already includes some of the most famous brands of the children luxury brand segment” commented Andrea Montelpare.
