NBC33 News reports Auburn University freshman lacrosse player Zachary Burgess was arrested and charged with theft of a motor vehicle, simple kidnapping and nine counts of hit-and-run after wanting to see “what it was really like to play the video game Grand Theft Auto”.

According to witnesses of the incident, Burgess jumped into a stationary but running truck in a car park after the owner stopped and exited the vehicle.
