Hyundai Grand Santa Fe Has Been Confirmed for Europe with Long-Wheelbase

Hyundai Grand Santa Fe: Long-Wheelbase SUV Confirmed for Europe

The Hyundai Grand Santa Fe has been confirmed for Europe, with the long-wheelbase version of the full-size SUV set to debut at next month’s Geneva motor show.

The Grand Santa Fe originally debuted at last year’s New York motor show (pictured bottom) but will appear at the Swiss show in European specification with a unique ride and handling tune.

At 4915mm long, 1885mm wide and 1700mm tall, the Grand Santa Fe is 225mm longer, 5mm wider and 10mm taller than the standard-wheelbase Hyundai Santa Fe. Its 607-litre boot also beats the smaller model by 91 litres.

A redesigned grille, front bumper and fog lights, an expanded rear-quarter section with new tail-lights, and bespoke 18- and 19-inch alloy wheels differentiate the long-wheelbase model from the standard Santa Fe.

The Grand Santa Fe will be offered in Europe paired exclusively with the Korean manufacturer’s 2.2-litre four-cylinder turbo-diesel engine and equipped with its three-mode Flex Steer system, 4.3-inch TFT instrument cluster and full-length panoramic sunroof.

Hyundai Europe senior vice president Allan Rushforth said the addition of the Grand Santa Fe would help his company meet the growing demand for E-segment SUVs in Europe.

Earlier this month, CarAdvice brought you spy shots of a long-wheelbase Hyundai Santa Fe believed to be undergoing hot-weather testing in Sydney.

Despite the local sighting and now the car’s imminent availability in Europe, Hyundai Australia maintains it has no plans to introduce the Grand Santa Fe to our market.
