JBT FoodTech, an American food processing machinery provider owned by JBT, has signed a $4m bakery freezing and chilling equipment supply contract with an international food and beverage manufacturer.
Under the deal, JBT FoodTech will supply and develop a cooling and freezing system that will feature its GYRoCOMPACT M10 technology.
JBT FoodTech's food solutions and services division vice president and division manager Torbjorn Arvidsson said that the deal illustrates a way the company collaborates with its customers globally.
The project is expected to be operational in the first quarter of 2013.
Recently, JBT FoodTech acquired rotary sterilization technology from South Africa-based H.G. Molenaar for an undisclosed amount.
JBT designs, manufactures, tests and services technological advanced systems and products for industrial food processing customers through its JBT FoodTech segment and JBT AeroTech segment. It operates in about 25 countries globally.
