Following the adjournment of its semi-annual Board of Directors meeting in Washington,D.C.,the American Apparel&Footwear Association(AAFA)announced the appointment of one member to the AAFA Executive Committee,two members to the AAFA Board of Directors to fill existing terms,and one member to the AAFA Footwear Division Board of Directors.
The AAFA Executive Committee,the AAFA Board of Directors,and the AAFA Footwear Division Board of Directors are comprised of senior executives representing stakeholders from the entire spectrum of the U.S.apparel and footwear industry and provide guidance on AAFA policy positions and industry initiatives.
"Members of AAFA's leadership team are passionate people who work diligently to help the industry overcome obstacles in the global market,"said AAFA Board of Directors Chairman Rick Darling,President of Li&Fung USA.
"Having a diverse and knowledgeable group of trusted advisors helps AAFA build consensus around key public policy issues."
Paula Zusi,Executive Vice President and Chief Supply Chain Officer of Ann,Inc.,was appointed to the AAFA Executive Committee.Tim Lyons,President of Haggar Clothing Co.,assumed the AAFA Board of Directors position vacated by Paul Buxbaum earlier this year.
Michael Schulze,Senior Vice President and General Manager,North America Retail,SAP America,Inc.,assumed the AAFA Board of Directors position recently vacated by Bob MacFarland.Karen Kyllo,Deputy Vice President,Global Softlines,of SGS Consumer Testing Services,has been appointed to the AAFA Footwear Division Board of Directors.
