Pearson Packaging Systems has announced the acquisition of Moen Industries, a producer of packaging equipment and corrugated packaging designs in the US, in a bid to expand its end-of-line solutions.
Pearson Packaging president and CEO Michael Senske said the company will retain Moen engineering, service and sales support in the Los Angeles area.
"Moen Industries' patented tray former technology adds a new dimension to our current product portfolio, enabling us to offer the most complete range of integrated secondary packaging equipment available under one roof in the industry today," Senske said.
The Moen Industries product line of packaging equipment and corrugated packaging designs will be manufactured at Pearson's facility in Spokane, Washington, beginning in 2013. By April 2013, Moen Industries will make a transition to the Pearson brand.
In order to integrate Moen's equipment, Pearson will shift its machines to operate at the company standards, using the same software and use on all of its equipment.
The parties have not disclosed the acquisition value.
