In September this year, China's auto exports totaled 73,800 vehicles, with a month-on-month decline of 1.60 percent and a year-on-year decrease of 30.52 percent, as announced by the China Association of Automobile Manufacturers (CAAM) on November 5. In the January-September period of the current year, China's auto exports amounted to 713,500 units, down 7.22 percent year on year.
In January-September this year, China's passenger car exports amounted to 410,500 vehicles, down 6.59 percent, while its light commercial vehicle exports totaled 303,000 units, down 8.07 percent, both year on year. In the given period, China's top auto export destinations included Russia, Algeria and Ukraine.
Meanwhile, in September this year China's auto imports totaled 104,700 vehicles, up 31.37 percent year on year. In addition, the total import figure for the January-September period was 845,900 vehicles, down 6.07 percent year on year.
