Cape Lambert Finalized a Infrastructure Agreement with Africa Minerals for Marampa Project

Australian resources and investment company Cape Lambert Resources has announced that it has finalized a binding infrastructure agreement with Africa Minerals regarding its Marampa iron ore project in Sierra Leone, West Africa.

The infrastructure agreement grants Marampa access rights to transport and export 2 million wet mt per year of iron ore concentrate via African Minerals' existing Pepel rail and port infrastructure. Additionally, African Minerals also has an option to purchase 2 million wet mt per year of Marampa concentrate for three years.

Under the scope of the agreement, Marampa will build the spur line that will connect Marampa to the Pepel rail. Marampa has retained the right to expand production to 16.5 million wet mt per year and export concentrate via the construction of a pipeline to Tagrin point in Sierra Leone.
