Temperature controlled packaging cases manufacturer Pelican Products has unveiled three new sizes of Pelican air cases.
The three new cases, 1557, 1607 and 1637, are up to 40% lighter.
Available in black, yellow, orange, and gray, the new air cases with a depth of more than 13” can be used for carrying valuable equipment, like drones and cinema-grade cameras.
The TrekPak Divider system, which is available only with 1557 case, features durable, waterproof, closed-cell foam, laminated to corrugated panels.
It is claimed to offer a fully customizable and precise protection grid without wasting space.
A manually customizable solution is offered by the Classic Pick N’ Pluck Foam for fast and simple protection with pre-scored foam for any equipment.
Customers can modify their equipment at any point of time with the Padded Divider configuration that includes protective, padded dividers with Velcro.
The No Foam configuration offers a blank slate for custom interior solutions.
All the new air cases have been installed with a watertight O-ring gasket, a crushproof and dustproof exterior, stainless steel hasp protectors, rubberized, over-molded handles and tough double-throw latches.
The 1607 and 1637 air cases have wheels which are roll tested over 914 meters.
Fire photographer in Bakersfield Roy Pena said: “I was able to fit all my camera gear in its own tailored compartment. When you're shooting action shots, like a fire in the heat of the moment, you have to rush in to get the shot. If you don't know exactly where the right gear is, you miss it.”
Pelican Products operates in 21 countries, with 22 international sales offices and six manufacturing facilities globally.
