AmbiCom, a US-based developer of medical wireless products, has received an additional $1.2m order for its WL54-CF CompactFlash product.
WL54-CF, an IEEE802.11g + b compatible wireless CompactFlash Card, will be used in an unknown company's glucose meter products.
The product is also interoperable within a mixed mode network (802.11b and 802.11g) and allows to take the advantage of PDA's mobility with access to real-time information and online services anytime anywhere.
In addition, the new CF Card provides a higher transfer rate up to 54Mbps for high-speed broadband connections.
AmbiCom said the new order, which is an addition to the previously announced $380,000 order to be delivered in the second quarter of 2013, is due for delivery in the third quarter of 2013.
