Ajinomoto has completed the acquisition of Althea Technologies, a provider of biopharmaceutical development and manufacturing services.
All the capital stock of Althea is purchased by Ajinomoto at closing for approximately $175m.
Althea will turn out to be a fully consolidated subsidiary of Ajinomoto, doing business as Ajinomoto Althea.
Ajinomoto manufactures pharmaceuticals, specialty chemicals, seasonings, processed foods, beverages and amino acids.
