Color crystalline silicon solar cell maker Lof Solar has filed a lawsuit with Taiwan Intellectual Property Court, accusing Sunshine PV, which makes CIGS thin-film PV modules and color polycrystalline silicon solar cells, of infringing its Taiwan patent, No. I409962.
Sunshine PV infringes the patent in producing its Rainbow Cell series 6-inch color polycrystalline solar cells, Lof Solar claims.
Lof Solar said it has collected evidence about the alleged infringement since 2013 and has obtained analyses by independent laboratories and verification organizations to support the lawsuit.
Lof Solar has also applied for patents for technologies similar to I409962 in countries other than Taiwan.
