LED chip maker Tyntek has reported gross margin of 21.8% for the first quarter of 2015, the highest quarterly level in the past 10 years.
Tyntek posted consolidated revenues of NT$861 million (US$27.3 million), pre-tax profit of NT$99 million and pre-tax EPS of NT$0.4 for the first quarter.
Tyntek has extended development and production to fiber-optic communication devices, with TO-CAN packaging service providers being clients including Taiwan-based Elite Advanced Laser and Opto-Infomax as well as China-based Wuhan Yusheng Optical Devices, Accelink Technologies, Hisense and Huawei Technologies.
Tytek's March consolidated revenues reached NT$351 million, hiking 63.79% sequentially but dipping 23.27% on year. It will distribute a cash dividend per share of NT$0.9 for 2014, accounting for 60% of the net EPS of NT$1.50.
