H Series High Head Self-Priming Centrifugal Pumps Have Been Designed with Key Features

Griswold Pump Company is pleased to announce that its H Series High Head Self-Priming Centrifugal Pumps have been designed with key features and options that make them ideally suited for a wide variety of water applications, including turf irrigation, swimming pools and sprinkler systems where greater flows and higher heads are needed.

Griswold H Series pumps are able to satisfy the needs in water applications due to their self-priming design. Unlike standard end suction centrifugal pumps, the H Series is able to maintain its prime even when check valves or foot valves have failed. Since the suction line on the H Series is located higher on the pump housing than conventional centrifugal pumps, it keeps the impeller and mechanical seal covered with water at all times eliminating the need to re-prime the pump and protects the seal from running dry resulting in costly replacements. These pumps are available in 3-, 5-, 7-1/2, 10-, 15- and 20-horsepower models with heads to 79 meters (260 feet) and flow rates to 74 m3/h (325 gpm).

Other efficiency-optimizing features of H Series pumps include a closed impeller; a mechanical shaft seal, stationary seal face and rotating seal face that are constructed of the finest materials, resulting in more reliable operation and minimum wear; a heavy-duty case of cast iron that has thick walls to handle rugged operation in adverse conditions; and a heavy-duty rigid bracket that maintains perfect alignment between the pump and the motor.
