Recon Instruments, which is introducing a "heads-up display" cycling sunglasses, is sponsoring next weekend's GoPro Ironman World Championships in Hawaii, the company announced Wednesday.
“Our partnership with Ironman is a fantastic opportunity for Recon Instruments to showcase our newest product, Recon Jet,” said Recon CEO and co-founder Dan Eisenhardt.
Recon, which recently received a $4 million investment from electronics giant Intel, plans to begin shipping its Jet cycling sunglass early next year. It has already shipped 50,000 of its snow sports goggles, which have similar technology.
