A new lighting Business Centre is being developed in the Netherlands that will feature an exhibition of lighting products.
The centre,which is still at concept stage,is expected to be completed in early 2012 and will aim to be a resource for lighting designers,architects and installers.
The LBC will aim to showcase products from approximitely 100 designers all year round.The showrooms will be unmanned and attendees will be free to examine and test fittings at their leisure.
The idea is for the centre to also serve as a venue for conferences,demonstrations,seminars,workshops and lectures by manufacturers and relevant interest groups.
Commenting on its location,Jeroen Esmeijer of the lighting Business Centre said:"The Netherlands lies in the heart of Western Europe.The UK,Germany,France and Italy are very close by but we want to attract lighting professionals from all over Europe,and Asia and the US as well."
